The original war stories told by a professor at a boys’ high school do not reflect the importance of war. Therefore, students begin to believe that it is an honorable duty to participate and fight in war. This belief encourages many students to voluntarily join the German army. Young soldiers who make this mistake know it’s wrong. However, they cannot change their course because of the political games and cynical plans carried out with their naivety. They will fight for their lives in the shadow of these plans.
