I Love My Dad 2022
The movie tells the story of a father who has become estranged from his son and is desperate to reconnect with him. In an attempt to do so, he creates a fake online persona, or “catfishes” his son, in order to get closer to him. The story follows the father’s struggles to maintain the charade and the complicated relationship that develops between them as a result. It is a story about the lengths a parent will go to for their child, and the power of forgiveness and second chances.
